CHMK is the official student club run by the students of the Mineral Processing Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University.
What is mineral processing?
Mineral processing is the transformation of mined ore into industrial concentrates: liberation by crushing, grinding and screening, followed by enrichment through flotation, gravity and magnetic separation. The copper in your phone, the aluminium in your car and the lithium in your battery all pass through these processes. Mineral processing engineers design this transformation to be efficient, economical and environmentally responsible.

Founding and History
Our club was founded in 2008 under the ITU Faculty of Mines. Since then it has run a growing program of technical trips, seminars and trainings every year.
